With the option of female, male or mixed sex, all dormitories sleep a maximum of 4 guests. All dormitories offer a free personal locker with your own power point enabling you to charge your phone, ipod, camera, etc knowing it will be secure. Each bed has clean, fresh linen and a towel along with a personal reading light. All mattresses are fully sprung (no foam rubber in sight!). The room has individual air conditioning or heating and access is through top of the range security cards.

Free breakfast is available every day from 7.30am to 9.30am; a choice of cereal, toast and orange juice. Tea and coffee is available all day every day. We also offer rice and pasta free of charge and a free weekly meal is provided every Monday.

Our popular in house Urban Bar has the cheapest drinks in town and offers daily happy hour with $5 jugs of XXXXGold and glasses of wine and bubbly for $2.50. There?s free entertainment every night including quizzes, competitions, live music and stand up comedy; there are pool tables, table football and a plasma and big screen for movies and televised events.

Other facilities include cheap high speed internet, two TV areas with Plasma screens, excellent cooking facilities and a tour desk which offers expert information on Melbourne and unique tour packages and discounts only available to Urban Central guests.

Urban Central is ideally located in Melbourne?s vibrant Southbank adjacent to the famous Crown Casino. The city is a 5 minute walk and with public transport on our doorstep, St Kilda is only a 10 minute tram ride. Shopping around UC is excellent and with the city just a 5 to 10 minute walk, Southbank ?chic? shopping across the road, South Melbourne shopping strip and market only seconds away, Port Melbourne shopping strip a 15 minute walk (on the way to the beach) and a Direct Factory Outlet about a 10 minute walk, you?re bound to find what you need!!!

From Spencer Street Station walk onto the street you will be on the corner Spencer and Collin?s Streets. Heading south get on Tram Number: 112 to St Kilda. After a few minutes you will pass crown Casino on your left followed by a set of traffic lights. When you see a green and yellow ?BP? Petrol Station on your right ring the tram bell to get off at the next stop. You will get off just before the traffic lights (City Road). We are the grey building across the road from McDonalds.
