Hostel Description
Our hostel offers a friendly atmosphere, a great location and excellent security, which makes us one of Perth's best small backpacker hostels! We are only a ten minutes' walk from the town centre and its nightlife.
We have a range of rooms, suitable for all, a modern and fully equipped kitchen, a cool bar selling ice cold drinks and a lounge area where you can read, watch TV, plan your travels or discuss your experiences with fellow travellers! Our internet access allows you to keep in contact with friends and family back home, while our barbeque area allows you to meet new friends here.
Cleaning
Our hostel is being cleaned daily and we provide fresh linen to our guests and our beds have very comfortable new inner-spring mattresses.
Kitchen
Our kitchen is spacious and we provide microwave, kettle and toaster as well as big fridges for your food.
Laundry
We have several washing machines as well as commercial driers and a iron/ironing board for our convenience.
Outdoor Area
We have a BBQ outside and plenty of space to relax in our backyard. Our SPA will invite you for some relaxation time and to chill out.

From the airport:
BUS
Airport bus service meets all flights and serves the major hotels. Cost is about A$8. This is not a scheduled service so the bus may wait for one or two flights to arrive before leaving. The bus is cost effective but you may wait a while longer than if you took a taxi. Still, it's a good alternative if you are not pressed for time.
TAXI
The taxi is the best way to get to town. The fare is about A$16-20 and it is a short ride, about 15 minutes. Tipping is not essential, but will be well-appreciated when there has been an excellent service.
RENTAL CAR
When staying a few days or travelling to other areas, it would be wise to hire a car. Perth is served by Avis, Budget, Hertz and Thrifty. The hostel staff can help you with bookings of rental cars.
From the City Train Station
The Shiralee is centrally located a 10 minutes walk north of Perth Train Station. Follow William Street north and turn left at Brisbane Street.
