Welcome to Rowena?s Lodge, Wellington backpackers hostel and camping accommodation.
Rowena?s Lodge is ideally located amidst the tranquil green surroundings of Mount Victoria with panoramic views yet only minutes away from Wellington city centre and the Wellington entertainment precinct of Courtenay Place.
No car parking hassles at Rowena?s Lodge as we have FREE private off-street CAR PARKING for backpacker hostel guests.
Our backpacker hostel is conveniently situated within easy walking distance from the Museum of New Zealand, Te Papa - a must-see - numerous art galleries, theatres, scenic bush walks, supermarkets, cafes, ethnic restaurants, the best of Wellington nightlife, shopping and sports venues. The list goes on!
Rowena?s Lodge and backpackers hostel is the perfect base for visitors to Wellington. Whether you are a sports group, a school group, or an independent traveler, we can supply all your backpacker hostel accommodation requirements. Self-catering or group meals by arrangement.
We have single, twin, double, triple and share-room budget accommodation and we are the only Wellington backpacker hostel with camping facilities for those who enjoy the outdoor lifestyle.
Our free daily courtesy shuttle will meet and drop you off at the Wellington Interislander ferry terminal and the Wellington bus\train station.
If you wish to hitch out of Wellington we will drop you off at a hitching point.
If you have a pushbike we offer secure lockup facilities at our backpacker hostel.

From motorway or ferry terminal take Aoeta Quay turnoff follow road to New World supermarket turn right at lights to KFC (on left hand side of road) turn right to top of street and turn left we are located at 115 Brougham St you will see our sign at the bottom of the driveway.Bus 2 or 5 ask driver to let you off at Brougham St
