With its snowy white sandy beach, Yuan beach is only 10 minutes by boat from Haad Rin (Rin beach) and 30 minutes from Chaweng beach, Koh Samui or 20 minutes from Bophut, Koh Samui by speed boat. Haad Yuan lies on the peaceful southeastern coast of Koh Phangan. Our cozy boutique style bungalows are amid the tropical nature with serenity atmosphere. You will see the crystal blue sea at the front and the rush tropical forest climbing up along the mountain at the back. That makes it ideal for watching the sunrise and the moon on full moon night. It is also a great place for sunbathing and swimming. A great restaurant & bar, a spa, internet access and tour counter are also at our services. Airplanes
The easiest way to reach Koh Phangan is going through Koh Samui by flying with Bangkok Airways. It flies daily from Bangkok to Koh Samui. There are minimum 8 flights a day. It takes 1 hour and 10 minutes by ATR72-200 and takes 45 minutes by BOEING717. Bangkok Airways also has a daily direct flight From Singapore to Koh Samui. You can check its flight timetable and book at www.bangkokair.com After reaching Koh Samui, catch a taxi to Big Buddha pier to take a ferry boat to Haad Rin. There are four times a day and it takes about 45 minutes from Koh Samui to Koh Phangan. From Haad Rin, you just catch a boat to Haad Yuan that takes about 10 minutes. Or contact us for transfering from Koh Samui to the resort.
The other airline is Thai Airways but it flies daily from Bangkok to Suratthani. You have to take a bus service to Donsak Ferry Pier and take a ferry boat to Koh Phangan. It may be cheaper but you need to add 5 hours to your journey.
Buses
You can take a bus from Bangkok to Koh Phangan. The buses leave from the Southern Bus Terminal. There are V.I.P., first and second-class buses available. These are all air-conditioned. The bus journey takes around 15-16 hours. Then, taking a local bus to Haad Rin to catch a boat to Haad Yuan. Or contact us for transfering from Thong Sala, Koh Phangan to the resort.
Trains
When traveling from Bangkok to Koh Phangan, it is highly recommended you get a night sleeper train. These trains are more comfortable and ensure smoother bus and ferry connections. All trains are run from Hualamphong Station in Bangkok to Suratthani. We advice that you buy a combination/joint ticket which will include all your transport right through Thong Sala, Koh Phangan. Train tickets can vary greatly in price depending on the carriage class and whether the carriage is air-conditioned or fan. Ferries
There are two ferry services from Donsak, Suratthani to Koh Phangan. The first one is Raja Ferry. Another is Seatran Ferry. It takes about 2.5 hours from Donsak to Thong Sala, Koh Phangan.
Songserm Express Boat
From Suratthani and Koh Samui, you can take Songserm Express Boat to Thong Sala pier, Koh Phangan. It is about 2 hours and 40 minunute from Suratthani and 40 minutes from Koh Samui. The boat leaves daily from Suratthani at 8.00am. And it leaves from Koh Phangan to Suratthani at 12.00pm. From Koh Samui, it leaves daily at 9.00am, 11.00am and 4.00pm. There are also services to/from Bangkok, Hua Hin, Chumporn and Koh Samui. It is a combination of VIP bus and Catamaran services. The trips leave daily from Bangkok at 6.00a.m. and 9.00p.m. and arrive Thong Sala Pier, Koh Phangan at 3.55p.m. and 10.30am.
