Hostel Description
Daintree Drifters Tropical Cabins near Cape Tribulation, offers bed and breakfast accommodation in the Daintree rainforest with a difference. Unlike other bed and breakfast accommodation, Daintree Drifters has a central building with large kitchen and lounge, while accommodation is provided in separate private holiday cabins, set amongst beautiful coconut palms and lush tropical gardens, with the World Heritage rainforest of the Daintree National Park and the Great Barrier Reef at your doorstep.
Daintree Drifters is ideally located 19 kilometres north of the Daintree River and 17 kilometres south of Cape Tribulation.
Drive north from Cairns or Port Douglas toward Daintree Village. Before you reach Daintree Village, take the right turn to the Daintree Ferry crossing.
After crossing the Daintree River, travel 19 kilometres north headed for Cape Tribulation and look out for our sign and giant purple flags on the right side of the road. Then, drive down the driveway past the coconut palms - the cabins are on the left and the main house and check-in is on the right.

Getting to Daintree Drifters
Drive north from Cairns or Port Douglas toward Daintree Village. Before you reach Daintree Village, take the right turn to the Daintree Ferry crossing.

Daintree River Ferry
If you do not have a car, you can travel to Daintree Drifters on Sun Palms Express Deluxe Coaches. Their buses depart Cairns (7am) and Port Douglas (8:30am) daily and will drop off at our door at approximately 10:00am. Cost is $45 per person one way. Return departure leaves at 11.45am. Coaches run 7 days per week. They have a 24hr booking service - phone +61 7 4099 4992.
The road is fully sealed from the Daintree River ferry, so you can travel to Daintree Drifters by car or coach all year round.
