Coolangatta Yha is only a 40 minute drive north from Byron Bay and only a 5 minute walk from the Gold Coast Airport.

We are home to some of the best surf breaks in the world, Snapper Rocks "Superbank", D-Bar, Burleigh Point and Currumbin Alley. Our shuttle bus will drop you off and pick you up, 4 times a day. Fill up on our Free breakfast and surf all day!

Our hostel is the ideal springboard for all your daily activities. Enjoy a stroll along the beautiful beach, only 200 meters away, or just relax in the sun. Take a tour to the spectacular Hinterland featuring tropical rainforests, waterfalls, rockpools and many nature walks. Visit Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary to hand feed kangaroos, have your photo taken with a Koala or just enjoy all the beautiful native wildlife (Wildnight Tours also available). The famous Gold Coast Theme Parks, Dreamworld, Movie World, Wet n Wild and Sea World are all accessable from here.

For the more adventurous, try a Tandem Skydive, Surf lesson, Scuba dive or snorkel trip.
We have a job placement service and often have jobs for backpackers needing those extra dollars.
