Backofchapel 2 backpackers is a budget hostel in lively Prahran/Windsor which is near St.kilda and Chapel Street, that is so centrally located you'd think that the city of Melbourne was built around it. Public transport at our doorstep.

Back of Chapel backpackers & hostel is a fully renovated house that has just undergone a complete face lift, is new, clean, with double or single rooms only for those of you who love Melbourne and wish to stay longer

It has a state of the art kitchen, private bathrooms, laundry, and a TV in a common room and TV?s in all bedrooms, furnished with double bed, desk etc.
Your own lockable pantry, in the kitchen, free washing machine and dryer
If you have work or wish to find work we can help you at Back of chapel in Green St, but you can stay at Back of Chapel 2 for months if you love Melbourne and it rates as the livable city that it is known to be.

Chapel Street is surrounded by bars and pubs, offering many jobs, and great night life for those of you who just want to party.

We only take weekly bookings, minimum 2 weeks, not daily, even monthly maximum one year.
The spotlessly clean surrounds are to be admired and we hope you enjoy your stay with us.
This hostel is for those of you who want a quieter atmosphere than Back of Chapel, either students, or workers you will enjoy the quiet surrounds of a home not a hostel
All guests must prove they hold a job to stay here as Back of chapel 2 is for working backpackers only.

By SHUTTLE:
There is a shuttle that will take you from the airport to Southern Cross Station, Spencer St. in the city. When there you can walk or take a short tram trip to Flinders St., or just change trains 1 stop to Flinders St Station if you have heavy bags then get to Back of Chapel via tram or train or car - see below.

By TRAM:
Number 6 goes from Swanston St., City (can be caught from Flinders St. Station) to corner of High St. and Chapel St., get off tram and turn right into Chapel St. A 3 minute walk will get you to Union St. on your right, 300m down on your right you will find Back of Chapel.

By TRAIN:
Take Sandringham line from Flinders/Spencer St. stations to Winsdor station (4 stops) turn left on Chapel St., walk 2 blocks and we are the first on your left ( Union ST.)

By TAXI:

Taxis and hire cars are abundant in Melbourne at airports, train stations, etc. You can wave one off the street when it has one light on.
Two lights = busy, no lights = off duty.
