For those who love the outdoor activities such as hiking, river rafting, rock climbing, golfing and photography, you can find it in Lampang Province. The Doi Prabat Mountains are out our front door, with hiking and biking trails into the jungle and mountains. A beautiful 18 hole golf course is only 4 miles from "Baan Suan Guesthouse" and two large lakes and rivers within 10 miles with great fishing. "Baan Suan is a hostel, guesthouse and resort all in one. We offer deluxe accommodations and daily tours and trips around Thailand at an affordable price.

Our deluxe rooms have private baths, air conditioning, beautifully decorated in Thai style. A complimentary breakfast is provided for each guest who stay at "Baan suan". Laundry services is available and we serve American and Thai Cuisine. Tours and trips have English speaking hosts. We only accept a small number of guests, so book early and stay as long as you wish. We also offer monthly and group rates for the independent traveler.

Rooms

At Baan Suan, we have currently 5 rooms with double/queen beds and 2 rooms with twin singles and a large room with ensuite with 5 single beds. We offer free pick-up at the airport, bus or train station in lampang.

Each room has a private bath, hot water and air conditioning. The price per room is for two people. however, we can have cots available for children if requested. Meals (lunch and dinner) are $3.00 per person.

Tours & Trips

"Baan Suan" provides tour options of the beaches of Thailand and the jungles and rain forests of the Northern Thailand, but our popular "Do it yourself Leisure Holiday" (below), allows guests to select daily trips that conform to their interest and budget. Guests may book any length of stay at "Baan Suan" and select locations at your leisure, or you may elect to rent a vehicle or travel by other modes of transportation to locations of interest. This is a great way to see Thailand and it is especially great for the independent traveler who want a leisure holiday without the regimentation of other tours. For the backpacker, hiker, climber, cyclist and trekker, Baan Suan can be your base of operation. We can arrange outdoor and activity tours for you.

Two flights arrive from Bangkok each day. Regular scheduled train service from Bangkok to Chiang Main stop in Lampang and Mae Mo.

We will arrange pick-up at the Lampang Bus station, airport or train station on request.

From the Airport or Bus Station: travel along Highway 1(about 5 km) toward Chiang Rai to the Doi Prabat Intersection (a large sign at the intersection). This is the intersection of Highway 11 to Phitsanulok and Mae Mo Lignite Mine.

Travel south 10 km to the intersection of Mae Mo, Mae Chang Reservior and Mae Mo Lignite Mine (a police box is at the intersection).

Two 4 lane highways intersect at a "T" intersection. Turn Left on the Highway, travel 3 km and on the right is "Baan Suan"
