Apollo Bay is the halfway mark on the Great Ocean Road, set on a 3 kilometer long beach which provides both good surf and of the safest beaches in Victoria. Behind the town are the Otway Rangers with the Rain Forest and Waterfalls.
Walking and Driving excursions are numerous and could keep you busy for days.

All kinds of Water Sports are available, River, Beach and Deep Sea fishing, Surfing, Sailing, Sea Kayaking and Diving. For the food lovers there are over 20 restaurants and Take-Away outlets and for the self-caterers there are 2 Supermarkets, Butcher and Fruit and Vegetable shops.

Population Apollo Bay has approximately 1200 permanent residents but this grows to over 5,000 in the holiday season.
